Reviewing facts can be fun with this kid-pleasing, curriculum-based game. Great for pairs or small groups, this resource includes 100 question cards, a game board, and playing pieces. Questions come in multiple choice, true/false, and single answer formats, and have been carefully selected to help students sharpen their critical thinking skills and build their knowledge about ancient civilizations. Many questions contain additional information that helps students make connections-and remember important facts!
As a springboard to a whole-class activity, ask students to review the time line provided. Direct students to research and find three (or more) interesting facts to add to their own time line. Then, using a long sheet of bulletin board paper attached to a wall, invite students to add their information to the class time line. Students can use a different color marker for each civilization and add a color-coded key to the time line!
